Ready in 10 minutes just by stir-frying! This budget-friendly Chanpuru uses bean sprouts, thinly sliced pork, tofu, and eggs, which are stable in price year-round. The crisp bean sprouts and savory tofu create an irresistible texture that will make you want more rice and drinks.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2 servings)
- 1 Egg
- 1 bag Bean Sprouts
- 1/2 block Firm Tofu (approx. 150g)
- 100g Thinly Sliced Pork
Seasonings
- 1 tsp Dashi Powder
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
Steps
- Crack 1 egg into a bowl and beat it.
- Trim the root ends of 1 bag of bean sprouts.
- Cut the bean sprouts in half.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Tear 1/2 block of firm tofu (approx. 150g) into bite-sized pieces and place them in the frying pan.
- Flip the tofu occasionally and cook until golden brown on both sides.
- Push the tofu to the side of the frying pan.
- Tear 100g of thinly sliced pork into bite-sized pieces and spread it in the empty space.
- Stir-fry until the pork is cooked through.
- Add the cut bean sprouts and 1 tsp of dashi powder, and quickly stir-fry. [This is the secret!] Stir-fry briefly for about 30 seconds to maintain their crispness.
- Add 1 tsp of soy sauce and 1 tsp of sesame oil, and mix everything quickly.
- Drizzle the beaten egg over the entire dish.
- Stir-fry everything together, breaking up the egg as it cooks. Turn off the heat once the egg is cooked.
- Plate and serve.
