📖Cooking Basics

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs and 1 tbsp Milk, and mix well to soak. [Key Tip!] Soaking the breadcrumbs is essential for them to blend properly with the meat. Always soak them before use.
  2. In a separate bowl, add 150g Ground Pork and season with Salt and Pepper to taste. Knead until it becomes sticky.
  3. Add 1 tsp Mayonnaise and the soaked breadcrumbs to the kneaded ground pork. Knead again until everything is evenly combined.
  4. Divide the mixture into 2 portions. Firmly press out any air, then shape them into round patties slightly larger than the bread slices, accounting for shrinkage during cooking. [Key Tip!] They will shrink a bit when cooked, so making them slightly larger is recommended.
  5. Heat Vegetable Oil for cooking in a frying pan over medium heat for about 30 seconds.
  6. Place the patties in the heated pan. Press down lightly and cook until golden brown on one side.
  7. Cook the patties over medium heat, pressing lightly, until golden brown on one side. [Key Tip!] Pressing lightly while cooking helps prevent the patties from shrinking.
  8. Once golden brown on one side, flip them over. Press lightly and cook the other side until browned.
  9. After both sides are browned, cover the pan and reduce heat to low. Steam for 1 minute to cook through.
  10. Once cooked, insert a skewer or toothpick; if clear juices run out, remove from the pan and place on a plate. If the juices are still red, continue steaming for a little longer. [Key Tip!] Pierce with a skewer or toothpick. If the juices are clear, it is fully cooked.
  11. Lightly wipe off any burnt bits or oil remaining in the frying pan. Gently crack in 2 Eggs.
  12. Use chopsticks to gently guide the egg white to spread within the size of a bread slice. [Key Tip!] If the egg white spreads too much, shape it to fit within the bread.
  13. Cook over low-medium heat until the egg white is about 80% set.
  14. Flip the egg and cook until it reaches your desired doneness, pressing lightly.
  15. Remove the egg slightly before it reaches your preferred level of doneness, as it will continue to cook from residual heat. [Key Tip!] It continues to cook even after removal, so take it out a little earlier than your ideal doneness.
  16. Reheat the same frying pan, without adding oil. Place 5 slices of Bacon and cook until browned, then remove. [Key Tip!] Bacon releases its own fat, so there's no need to add oil to the pan.
  17. In a bowl, combine 1 tbsp Ketchup, 1 tbsp Mayonnaise, and 1/2 tsp Sugar. Mix well to create the sauce.
  18. Place the cooked patty on 1 slice of Bread.
  19. Spread the prepared sauce over the patty.
  20. Place the fried egg on top of the sauce, ensuring the yolk is in the center.
  21. Arrange the cooked bacon vertically across the egg.
  22. Place the patted-dry Lettuce on top of the bacon.
  23. Drizzle more sauce over the lettuce, then place the other slice of Bread on top and press down lightly.
  24. Assemble the second sandwich using the remaining ingredients in the same way.
  25. Before grilling the sandwiches, wipe the frying pan clean. Add 20g Salted Butter and melt over medium heat.
  26. Once the butter is melted, remove it from the pan temporarily. Place a sandwich in the pan, press down lightly, and coat the bread evenly with butter. [Key Tip!] Gently press down so as not to crush the egg while grilling.
  27. Cook over medium heat until golden brown on one side.
  28. Once browned, flip the sandwich, coat the other side with the remaining melted butter, and cook until golden brown.
  29. Grill the second sandwich on both sides in the same manner.
  30. While lightly pressing the grilled sandwiches, cut them in half to serve. Enjoy!
