Ingredients
Main Ingredients (3-4 servings)
- Chinese Noodles 2 portions
- Lettuce 1 head
- Spam 150-170g
Seasonings
- [A] Soy Sauce 3 tbsp
- [A] Sesame Oil 3 tbsp
- [A] Hot Water 3 tbsp
- [A] Salt (approx. 1/2 tsp)
- [A] Pepper (to taste)
- [A] Chicken Powder 1 tsp
Steps
- Remove a few outer leaves from the head of lettuce and roughly chop them.
- Cut the Spam (150-170g) into 1cm thick batons.
- Add the 2 portions of Chinese Noodles to boiling water and boil over high heat for about 2 minutes.
- While the noodles are boiling, combine 3 tbsp Soy Sauce, 3 tbsp Sesame Oil, 3 tbsp Hot Water, approx. 1/2 tsp Salt, Pepper to taste, and 1 tsp Chicken Powder in a bowl. Mix well to create the sauce.
- With about 1 minute remaining on the noodle cooking time, add the sliced Spam to the pot.
- When 30 seconds remain, add half of the lettuce to the pot, stir briefly, then drain the noodles, Spam, and lettuce together in a colander.
- Place the drained noodles, Spam, and lettuce in a pre-warmed bowl. Add the remaining raw lettuce on top. Mix the sauce and ingredients thoroughly. The key here! Pre-warm your bowls well and serve immediately for the best flavor. The taste can become too concentrated if left sitting.
- For a flavor variation, add vinegar, Sichuan pepper, or extra sesame oil to your liking.
