This easy milk pudding, made with plenty of fresh peaches, simply requires mixing and chilling. Its melt-in-your-mouth texture and the exquisite harmony of peach sweetness are simply divine. A perfect dish for entertaining or as a delightful dessert.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2-3 servings)
- Peach 1 (250g)
- Gelatin 10g
- Milk 400ml
Seasonings
- Water 200ml
- Salt 1/5 tsp
- Sugar 50g
Steps
- In a bowl, combine 100ml Milk and 10g Gelatin. Let sit for at least 10 minutes to bloom.
- In a separate bowl, mix 200ml Water and 1/5 tsp Salt to create saltwater.
- Make a cut around the center of the peach and twist to halve it.
- Cut the peach into 8 wedges and remove the pit.
- Peel the peach. The trick here is that ripe peaches can be easily peeled by hand. If it's difficult, use a knife to help peel.
- Cut the peach into 1-2cm cubes.
- Soak the cut peaches in the saltwater for about 10 minutes. The trick here is that soaking in saltwater prevents browning and helps prevent separation when combined with milk.
- In a heatproof bowl, pour half of the 300ml Milk (150ml) and microwave on 600W for 1 minute.
- Add 50g Sugar to the warmed milk and stir until dissolved.
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm milk with sugar, in about 3 additions, stirring to dissolve without lumps.
- Add the remaining half of the milk (150ml) and mix well.
- Drain the peaches that were soaked in saltwater and place them in a container.
- Pour the milk pudding mixture over the peaches in the container.
- Chill in the refrigerator for about 3 hours, or until set.
- Once set, it's ready to serve!
