These crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside potatoes are so addictive and easy to make with just potatoes! A versatile recipe perfect for everyday meals, snacks, or even Christmas.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 servings)

  • Potatoes (to taste)
  • Milk (to taste)
  • Potato Starch (to taste)

Seasonings

  • Granulated Consomme (to taste)
  • Sugar (to taste)
  • Oil (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)

Steps

  1. Peel and de-eye the potatoes, then cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Place the cut potatoes in a microwave-safe container, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave on 600W for 6 minutes.
  3. Transfer the microwaved potatoes to a food processor. Add milk (to taste), potato starch (to taste), granulated consomme (to taste), and sugar (to taste). Process until a paste forms.
  4. Heat a generous amount of oil (to taste) in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Wet a spoon with water, scoop out the potato paste, and form into balls. The key tip! Wetting the spoon makes it less sticky.
  6. Place the formed potato balls into the hot frying pan. Pan-fry, flipping occasionally, until both sides are browned.
  7. Remove the fried potatoes from the pan and drain any excess oil.
  8. Sprinkle with salt (to taste) all over and serve on a plate.
