Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2-3 servings)

  • Ground beef and pork mixture 250g
  • Finely chopped onion 1 small
  • Breadcrumbs 4 tbsp
  • Milk 4 tbsp

Seasonings

  • Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
  • [A] Salt 1/2 tsp
  • [A] Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • [A] Grated garlic a little
  • [A] Pepper a little
  • [B] Soy sauce 1 tbsp
  • [B] Worcestershire sauce 1.5 tbsp
  • [B] Ketchup 3 tbsp

Steps

  1. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion (1 small) to the hot pan and sauté.
  3. Sauté the onion until it turns golden brown, about 8-9 minutes.
  4. Once it starts to color, reduce the heat slightly and continue to sauté.
  5. When the onion turns golden brown, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. In a bowl, combine the ground beef and pork mixture (250g) with the cooled onion. Add 4 tbsp breadcrumbs, 4 tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp sugar, a little grated garlic, and a little pepper in that order.
  7. First, mix everything together by opening and closing your hands like making a fist and then spreading them open.
  8. Once the ingredients are uniformly mixed, knead the mixture thoroughly.
  9. Take some of the mixture into your hands and shape it into an oval.
  10. Remove air by gently tossing the patty from hand to hand.
  11. Shape the remaining mixture in the same way.
  12. Lightly oil a frying pan and cook one side of the hamburg steak over low-medium heat.
  13. Gently press the center of the hamburg steak and cook for 2-3 minutes to brown it.
  14. Once it's well browned, flip it over.
  15. Reduce to low heat, cover with a lid, and steam-fry for about 7-9 minutes.
  16. Remove the lid and insert a skewer into the center of the hamburg steak.
  17. It's done when clear juices come out. Remove to a plate.
  18. In the same frying pan, add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1.5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, and 3 tbsp ketchup.
  19. Stir with a spoon and simmer lightly to create the sauce.
  20. Pour the sauce over the hamburg steak on the plate. It's ready!
