Ryuji's first terrestrial TV commercial has been decided! This time, we introduce recipes for 'Cook Do Twice-Cooked Pork' and 'Cook Do Green Pepper Steak (Qingjiao Rousi),' made even more delicious with Ryuji's unique arrangement, different from the TV commercial. Healthy with chicken breast and king oyster mushrooms, and with prep techniques that result in surprisingly tender meat – a must-see!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 servings)

  • Chicken breast 200g
  • Cabbage 200-250g
  • Shimeji mushrooms 100g
  • King oyster mushrooms 1 pack (120g)
  • Bell peppers 4
  • Thinly sliced pork 150g

Seasonings

  • Cook Do Twice-Cooked Pork sauce 1 pouch
  • Potato starch 2 tsp
  • Sake 1 tbsp (for Twice-Cooked Pork)
  • Rice oil 1½ tbsp (for Twice-Cooked Pork)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for Twice-Cooked Pork)
  • Cook Do Green Pepper Steak sauce 1 pouch
  • Potato starch 1 tbsp (for Green Pepper Steak)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for Green Pepper Steak)
  • Sake 1 tbsp (for Green Pepper Steak)
  • Rice oil 1 tbsp (for Green Pepper Steak)

Steps

  1. Cut 200g chicken breast for Twice-Cooked Pork in half, then thinly slice.
  2. To the thinly sliced chicken breast, add 2 tsp potato starch, 1 tbsp sake, and salt and pepper to taste, then massage well. [Tip!] Massaging with potato starch and sake makes the chicken breast surprisingly tender.
  3. Roughly chop 200-250g cabbage.
  4. Remove the tough ends from 100g shimeji mushrooms and separate by hand.
  5. Heat 1½ tbsp rice oil in a frying pan and stir-fry cabbage over high heat until wilted.
  6. Once the cabbage is browned and coated with oil, remove it to a plate.
  7. In a lightly oiled frying pan, spread out and cook the seasoned chicken breast. Be careful not to overcook, as it will become tough; cook only until lightly done.
  8. Turn off the heat, add 1 pouch Cook Do Twice-Cooked Pork sauce, and mix well with the meat.
  9. Return the stir-fried cabbage and shimeji mushrooms to the pan and mix everything quickly.
  10. Plate the Twice-Cooked Pork.
  11. Thinly slice 1 pack (120g) king oyster mushrooms for Green Pepper Steak.
  12. Diagonally thinly slice 4 bell peppers. Use without removing the seeds.
  13. To 150g thinly sliced pork, add 1 tbsp potato starch, salt and pepper to taste, 1 tbsp sake, and a small amount of rice oil, then massage in a bag to season. [Tip!] Adding a small amount of oil helps the meat separate easily.
  14. Heat 1 tbsp rice oil in a frying pan and stir-fry bell peppers and king oyster mushrooms.
  15. Once the vegetables are stir-fried, remove them to a plate.
  16. Add another 1 tbsp rice oil to the frying pan and stir-fry the seasoned thinly sliced pork over medium heat, breaking it apart.
  17. Add 1 pouch Cook Do Green Pepper Steak sauce and mix well with the meat.
  18. Return the stir-fried bell peppers and king oyster mushrooms to the pan and mix everything.
  19. Plate the Green Pepper Steak.
