Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Egg 1
  • Cooked rice 200g
  • Sausages 5
  • Nori (seaweed) to taste

Seasonings

  • [A] Water 2 tsp
  • [A] Kore! Uma!! Tsuyu (Japanese all-purpose sauce) 1 tsp
  • [B] MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG) 2 dashes
  • [B] Soy sauce to taste
  • [C] Bonito flakes (powder) to taste
  • [C] Mayonnaise to taste
  • [C] Shichimi (Japanese seven-spice powder) to taste
  • Oil to taste

Steps

  1. Heat frozen rice (cooked rice 200g) in the microwave for 3 minutes 30 seconds.
  2. In a bowl, add 1 egg, water 2 tsp, and Kore! Uma!! Tsuyu (Japanese all-purpose sauce) 1 tsp, and mix well to make the egg mixture.
  3. Spread plastic wrap in a deep dish and pour in the prepared egg mixture.
  4. Wrap the egg mixture in plastic wrap to form a shape like tamagoyaki, and seal both ends tightly.
  5. Heat the egg mixture wrapped in plastic wrap in a 600W microwave for 1 minute 20 seconds.
  6. After heating, shape the egg into a neat form and let it rest until its shape sets. 【Tip!】 This is a trick to make a cute tamagoyaki with just one egg. Shaping it and letting it rest for a bit helps it set.
  7. Pack the heated rice into a bento box and spread bonito flakes (powder) to taste evenly over it.
  8. Sprinkle MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG) 2 dashes and drizzle soy sauce to taste over the entire surface.
  9. Lay nori (seaweed) to taste over the rice.
  10. Heat oil to taste in a frying pan and thoroughly brown 5 sausages.
  11. Cover and steam-fry the sausages until thoroughly cooked through. 【Tip!】 Steam-frying after browning ensures they are cooked through and delicious.
  12. Pack the grilled sausages and the shaped egg into the bento box.
  13. Drizzle mayonnaise to taste and sprinkle shichimi (Japanese seven-spice powder) to taste over the egg and sausages, then it's done.
