Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2-4 servings)
- Ground Pork 150g
- Breadcrumbs 2 tbsp
- Milk 1 tbsp
- Bread Slices 4 (thick-cut)
- Bacon 5 slices
- Eggs 2
- Lettuce (to taste)
Seasonings
- Mayonnaise 1 tsp
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- Vegetable Oil (for cooking)
- Salted Butter 20g
- [A] Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
- [A] Ketchup 1 tbsp
- [A] Sugar 1/2 tsp
Steps
- In a bowl, combine 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs and 1 tbsp Milk, and mix well to soak. [Key Tip!] Soaking the breadcrumbs is essential for them to blend properly with the meat. Always soak them before use.
- In a separate bowl, add 150g Ground Pork and season with Salt and Pepper to taste. Knead until it becomes sticky.
- Add 1 tsp Mayonnaise and the soaked breadcrumbs to the kneaded ground pork. Knead again until everything is evenly combined.
- Divide the mixture into 2 portions. Firmly press out any air, then shape them into round patties slightly larger than the bread slices, accounting for shrinkage during cooking. [Key Tip!] They will shrink a bit when cooked, so making them slightly larger is recommended.
- Heat Vegetable Oil for cooking in a frying pan over medium heat for about 30 seconds.
- Place the patties in the heated pan. Press down lightly and cook until golden brown on one side.
- Cook the patties over medium heat, pressing lightly, until golden brown on one side. [Key Tip!] Pressing lightly while cooking helps prevent the patties from shrinking.
- Once golden brown on one side, flip them over. Press lightly and cook the other side until browned.
- After both sides are browned, cover the pan and reduce heat to low. Steam for 1 minute to cook through.
- Once cooked, insert a skewer or toothpick; if clear juices run out, remove from the pan and place on a plate. If the juices are still red, continue steaming for a little longer. [Key Tip!] Pierce with a skewer or toothpick. If the juices are clear, it is fully cooked.
- Lightly wipe off any burnt bits or oil remaining in the frying pan. Gently crack in 2 Eggs.
- Use chopsticks to gently guide the egg white to spread within the size of a bread slice. [Key Tip!] If the egg white spreads too much, shape it to fit within the bread.
- Cook over low-medium heat until the egg white is about 80% set.
- Flip the egg and cook until it reaches your desired doneness, pressing lightly.
- Remove the egg slightly before it reaches your preferred level of doneness, as it will continue to cook from residual heat. [Key Tip!] It continues to cook even after removal, so take it out a little earlier than your ideal doneness.
- Reheat the same frying pan, without adding oil. Place 5 slices of Bacon and cook until browned, then remove. [Key Tip!] Bacon releases its own fat, so there's no need to add oil to the pan.
- In a bowl, combine 1 tbsp Ketchup, 1 tbsp Mayonnaise, and 1/2 tsp Sugar. Mix well to create the sauce.
- Place the cooked patty on 1 slice of Bread.
- Spread the prepared sauce over the patty.
- Place the fried egg on top of the sauce, ensuring the yolk is in the center.
- Arrange the cooked bacon vertically across the egg.
- Place the patted-dry Lettuce on top of the bacon.
- Drizzle more sauce over the lettuce, then place the other slice of Bread on top and press down lightly.
- Assemble the second sandwich using the remaining ingredients in the same way.
- Before grilling the sandwiches, wipe the frying pan clean. Add 20g Salted Butter and melt over medium heat.
- Once the butter is melted, remove it from the pan temporarily. Place a sandwich in the pan, press down lightly, and coat the bread evenly with butter. [Key Tip!] Gently press down so as not to crush the egg while grilling.
- Cook over medium heat until golden brown on one side.
- Once browned, flip the sandwich, coat the other side with the remaining melted butter, and cook until golden brown.
- Grill the second sandwich on both sides in the same manner.
- While lightly pressing the grilled sandwiches, cut them in half to serve. Enjoy!
