Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Ground meat (mixed pork and beef) 120g
  • Cheddar cheese 1 slice
  • Lettuce 20g
  • Pickles to taste
  • 6-slice thick sliced bread 2 slices

Seasonings

  • [A] Onion 15g
  • [A] Mayonnaise 25g
  • [A] Ketchup 8g
  • [A] Mustard 3g
  • [A] Sugar 2 pinches
  • [A] Salt 1 pinch
  • [A] Garlic powder 4 shakes
  • [A] MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG) 3 shakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Finely chop the onion.
  2. Tear the lettuce into appropriate sizes, wash with water, and drain.
  3. In a bowl, add 15g finely chopped onion, 25g mayonnaise, 8g ketchup, 3g mustard, 2 pinches sugar, 1 pinch salt, 4 shakes garlic powder, and 3 shakes MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG), then mix well to make the Big Mac sauce. 【Chef's Tip!】 Mayonnaise with low acidity, like Pure Select Mayonnaise, is suitable for this sauce. The flavor of mustard significantly enhances the Big Mac sensation.
  4. Toast 2 slices of 6-slice thick sliced bread.
  5. Place 120g ground meat (mixed pork and beef) in a cold frying pan and press firmly with your hand.
  6. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste on one side of the compacted ground meat.
  7. Start cooking the ground meat over medium heat. Press it down slightly with a spatula while cooking to spread its surface area and cook it more evenly. 【Chef's Tip!】 By not kneading it too much, you'll get a patty with a better meaty texture. If using a non-stick pan, you don't need to add oil.
  8. Once the patty is flipped, sprinkle salt and pepper to taste on the other side.
  9. Cover and steam-fry over low heat until cooked through. Cook until no red juices come out when pressed, and only clear liquid emerges. 【Chef's Tip!】 Red juices are a sign of undercooking. Aim for an internal temperature of 65 degrees Celsius to ensure it's thoroughly cooked.
  10. Place 1 slice cheddar cheese on top of the cooked patty, cover, and let it melt with residual heat.
  11. Spread the prepared Big Mac sauce on one side of a toasted slice of bread.
  12. Place lettuce to taste (drained) on top of the bread with sauce.
  13. Slice the pickles thinly.
  14. On top of the lettuce, place the patty with melted cheese and thinly sliced pickles to taste, then drizzle with the remaining Big Mac sauce.
  15. Place the other slice of bread on top to complete the sandwich.
  16. Cut the finished sandwich in half and arrange it on a plate. Optionally, sprinkle with black pepper to taste.
