- Pork belly...60g
- Kimchi...70g
- Green onion...to taste
Seasonings
- Sesame oil...1 tbsp
- Garlic powder...6 dashes
- Water...350cc
- Chinese chicken bouillon powder...2 tsp
- Oyster sauce...1 tsp
- Sugar...1/2 tsp
- Sliced chili pepper...1 pinch
- Soy sauce...1/2 tsp
- Soy milk...4 tbsp
- Chili oil...to taste
Steps
- In a pot, add `1 tbsp sesame oil`, then add `70g kimchi` and `60g pork belly` and stir-fry. Sprinkle `6 dashes garlic powder` and stir-fry until browned. `Pro Tip: Combining and stir-frying the sesame oil and kimchi enhances the fragrance and taste.`
- Add `350cc water`, `2 tsp Chinese chicken bouillon powder`, `1 tsp oyster sauce`, `1/2 tsp sugar`, `1 pinch sliced chili pepper`, and `1/2 tsp soy sauce`, then simmer.
- Add `4 tbsp soy milk` and bring to a boil, turning the entire soup milky white, like a tonkotsu (pork bone) broth. `Pro Tip: Adding soy milk helps recreate the creamy texture and color of a tonkotsu soup.`
- In a separate pot, boil water and cook `1 serving Chinese noodles` according to package directions.
- Place the cooked noodles in a bowl, pour in plenty of the hot soup. Top with `chili oil to taste` and `green onion to taste` and serve.
