An easy-to-make omelette with minced beef and daikon radish, all cooked in one pan. This recipe generously uses seasonal daikon, and the savory minced meat and eggs create a perfect harmony. It's budget-friendly and quick to prepare, making it ideal for busy days.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2 servings)
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tbsp Potato Starch
- 2 tbsp Water
- 250g Daikon Radish
- 100g Ground Mixed Meat
Seasonings
- [A] 1 tsp Dashi Granules
- [A] Pinch of Salt
- [B] 1 tsp Sugar
- [B] 1 tsp Soy Sauce
Steps
- In a bowl, combine 1 tbsp Potato Starch and 2 tbsp Water, and mix until there are no lumps.
- In another bowl, whisk together 2 Eggs, 1 tsp Dashi Granules, and a pinch of Salt.
- Peel and dice 250g Daikon Radish into 1cm cubes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Add 100g Ground Mixed Meat to the heated pan and stir-fry until cooked through and the color changes.
- Add the diced 250g Daikon Radish and stir-fry until translucent.
- Add 1 tsp Sugar and 1 tsp Soy Sauce, and stir-fry everything together. (This is the key!) Pre-soaking the ingredients with the seasonings beforehand ensures a delicious result.
- Add the stir-fried daikon and minced meat to the bowl with the egg mixture and mix well.
- Wipe the frying pan clean with paper towel.
- Heat oil in the frying pan over medium heat.
- Pour the mixed ingredients into the pan to form a 20cm circle. Cover and steam over low-medium heat for 3 minutes.
- Gently slide the steamed omelette onto a plate.
- Place the frying pan over the omelette, flip it over, and return the omelette to the pan.
- If the shape is uneven, gently mold it into a round shape.
- Cover and steam over low-medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Slide onto a plate to serve. Enjoy!
