Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 servings)

  • Spaghetti 120g
  • Chili Pepper 1
  • Garlic 1/2 clove
  • Oil Sardines 1 can
  • Lemon 1/2
  • Chives (to taste)

Seasonings

  • Olive Oil (to taste)
  • Soy Sauce (a tiny amount)
  • Salt (to taste)

Steps

  1. Trim the roots of the chives and finely chop them.
  2. Peel and thinly slice or mince garlic 1/2 clove. (Key Tip!) Using the white part of the garlic also enhances flavor.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and add 1 chili pepper. Sauté over low heat.
  4. Add the crushed garlic to the pan and sauté gently over low heat to release its aroma. (Key Tip!) Sauté slowly over low heat to bring out the fragrance. Including some seeds from the chili pepper will add spiciness.
  5. Once the aroma of the garlic is released, add a tiny amount of soy sauce for flavor.
  6. Squeeze in lemon 1/2 and turn off the heat.
  7. Bring a generous pot of water to a boil, add a little salt, and cook spaghetti 120g according to package directions.
  8. Toss the cooked spaghetti well with the sauce in the frying pan.
  9. Add oil sardines 1 can and the chopped chives, then mix everything together.
