Ready in almost 5 minutes! This "Kimchi-Daikon Mixed Pasta" features an unexpectedly delicious combination of kimchi and daikon radish. Made with budget-friendly ingredients, this dish is easy to prepare and its spicy, sweet, and savory flavors are truly addictive.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Dried Pasta 100g
  • Kimchi 80g
  • Daikon Radish (Takuan) 60g
  • Scallions (Green Onions) a little

Seasonings

  • [A] Sesame Oil 2 tbsp
  • [A] Grated Garlic 1 tsp
  • [A] Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds 1 tbsp

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add a pinch of salt, and cook 100g of dried pasta. If using a frying pan, break the pasta in half before adding. Key Tip: Cook the pasta according to the specified time (5 minutes).
  2. While the pasta is cooking, combine 2 tbsp of sesame oil, 1 tsp of grated garlic, and 1/4 tsp of salt in a large bowl.
  3. Finely chop 80g of kimchi and add it to the bowl.
  4. Thinly slice 60g of daikon radish (takuan) into strips so it easily mixes with the pasta. Key Tip: Slicing it thinly creates a cohesive texture with the pasta.
  5. Drain the cooked pasta thoroughly and add it to the bowl with the seasonings, kimchi, and daikon radish mixture.
  6. Mix well to ensure the pasta, ingredients, and seasonings are evenly coated.
  7. If the mixture seems too dry, add a small amount of the pasta cooking water to adjust the consistency.
  8. Add 1 tbsp of toasted sesame seeds. Taste and adjust with salt if needed, then mix again thoroughly.
  9. Transfer the mixed pasta to a serving plate.
  10. Sprinkle with chopped scallions (green onions) a little and serve. Finished!
