A refreshing sweet that takes only 5 minutes to prepare by simply mixing and chilling. This cider jelly is a perfect summer dessert with its bubbly carbonation and abundance of fruit. You can also enjoy an arrangement using Fanta Orange.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (6 servings)

  • Cider 300ml
  • Fanta Orange 300ml
  • Canned Fruit (to taste)
  • Gelatin Powder 5g

Seasonings

  • Lemon Juice 1 tbsp

Steps

  1. In a heatproof bowl, combine 5g gelatin powder and 2 tbsp hot water. Mix well until dissolved. (Key Tip!) Use hot water around 80°C (175°F). Avoid boiling water as it can prevent the gelatin from setting properly. If it's difficult to dissolve, microwave for 10-20 seconds.
  2. Thoroughly drain the syrup from the canned fruit using a sieve.
  3. If using cherries, remove the stems.
  4. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice to the dissolved gelatin and mix well. (Key Tip!) Ensure both the lemon juice and the carbonated drinks are at room temperature before using. If they are cold, the gelatin may set prematurely.
  5. Gently pour 300ml of room-temperature cider into the gelatin mixture and stir gently 2-3 times. (Key Tip!) Avoid overmixing to preserve the carbonation.
  6. Gently add the drained canned fruit (add cherries later) and stir gently.
  7. First, place the fruit in your serving containers, then pour in the cider jelly mixture.
  8. Place the containers on a tray, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours until set.
  9. To make Fanta Jelly: Similarly, in a heatproof bowl, combine 5g gelatin powder and 2 tbsp hot water. Mix well until dissolved.
  10. Thoroughly drain the syrup from the canned fruit for the Fanta Jelly using a sieve.
  11. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice to the dissolved gelatin and mix well.
  12. Gently pour 300ml of room-temperature Fanta Orange into the gelatin mixture and stir lightly.
  13. Gently add the drained canned fruit and mix.
  14. Pour the fruit and Fanta Jelly mixture into your serving containers.
  15. Place the containers on a tray, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours until set.
  16. Once chilled and set, it's ready to serve. Enjoy!
