  • Bell Peppers 2 (approx. 40g)
  • Green Onion 1/2 medium stalk (approx. 40g)
  • Thinly sliced Pork Belly 200g
  • Yakisoba Noodles 1 pack
  • Egg 1

Seasonings

  • [A] Vegetable Oil 1 tbsp
  • [B] Vegetable Oil 1 tbsp
  • Cook Do® Hoi Kyo Rou Sauce 1 box
  • [C] Vegetable Oil 2 tsp
  • [C] Salt (to taste)
  • [C] Water 1 tbsp

Steps

  1. Roughly chop 1/4 head of cabbage (approx. 300g) into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cut 2 bell peppers (approx. 40g) into bite-sized, irregular pieces.
  3. Slice 1/2 medium green onion (approx. 40g) diagonally into 1cm thick pieces.
  4. Cut 200g of thinly sliced pork belly into 5cm lengths.
  5. Heat a frying pan, add 1 tbsp vegetable oil, and stir-fry half of the cabbage and bell peppers over high heat.
  6. Once the vegetables are cooked through, transfer them to a plate. Then, in the same frying pan with 1 tbsp vegetable oil, stir-fry the remaining half of the cabbage and bell peppers and transfer them to the plate. (This is the key!) Stir-frying the vegetables in batches ensures even cooking and keeps them crisp.
  7. In the frying pan, add the pork belly and green onion and stir-fry over medium heat.
  8. Once the pork belly is cooked, add 1 box of Cook Do® Hoi Kyo Rou Sauce and stir-fry over medium heat to coat the pork belly and green onion.
  9. Once everything is coated, return the stir-fried bell peppers and cabbage to the frying pan and stir-fry together over medium heat.
  10. Once combined, transfer to a plate. (Delicious Hoi Kyo Rou is ready!)
  11. Place 1 pack of yakisoba noodles in a microwave-safe container, drizzle with 1 tbsp water, and microwave for 2 minutes at 600W to loosen the noodles.
  12. After loosening the noodles, add 1 egg and a pinch of salt and mix while beating.
  13. Heat a frying pan over medium heat, add 2 tsp vegetable oil, and spread half of the noodle and egg mixture into an even layer.
  14. Place half of the prepared Hoi Kyo Rou in the center of the noodle layer.
  15. Cover the Hoi Kyo Rou with the remaining noodle mixture.
  16. Cook over medium heat until a golden-brown crust forms.
  17. Once browned and the noodles slide easily in the pan, place a plate over the pan, flip it, and carefully remove.
  18. Serve on a plate. (Surprise Fried Noodle Hoi Kyo Rou is ready!)
