  • Pumpkin 250g
  • Onion 1/2 (120g)
  • Butter 10g
  • Mixed Ground Meat (Pork & Beef) 150g
  • Mixed Cheese (to taste)
  • Dried Parsley (to taste)

Seasonings

  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • [A] Worcestershire Sauce 1 tbsp
  • [A] Ketchup 1 tbsp
  • [A] Grated Garlic 1 tsp

Steps

  1. Scoop out the seeds and pulp from the pumpkin with a spoon.
  2. Cut the pumpkin (250g) into 2cm cubes.
  3. Place the cut pumpkin in a microwave-safe bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600W microwave for 4.5 minutes.
  4. Peel and finely chop the onion (1/2, 120g).
  5. Mash the heated pumpkin with a fork or masher.
  6. Add butter (10g) and salt (to taste) to the mashed pumpkin and mix well. [Secret Tip!] If you don't have butter, you can use water or milk to achieve a smooth consistency.
  7. Spread the mashed pumpkin evenly on the bottom of a gratin dish or other oven-safe container.
  8. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  9. Add the mixed ground meat (150g) to the heated pan and stir-fry until it changes color.
  10. Add the finely chopped onion and stir-fry until translucent.
  11. Season with salt (to taste) and pepper (to taste).
  12. Once the onion is cooked, add Worcestershire sauce (1 tbsp), ketchup (1 tbsp), and grated garlic (1 tsp), and stir-fry until the liquid has evaporated.
  13. Place half of the stir-fried meat and onion mixture on top of the pumpkin layer.
  14. Sprinkle generously with mixed cheese (to taste).
  15. Bake in a broiler or toaster oven until golden brown and bubbly.
  16. Sprinkle with dried parsley (to taste) if desired, and serve.
