Recreating the flavor of JAL's beef consommé soup. This ultimate consommé soup, packed with vegetables and sausage, is enjoyable for both adults and children. Since it's simmered instead of stir-fried, it's healthy and recommended for a diet.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (4 servings)

  • Potatoes 100g
  • Cabbage 150g
  • Carrots 60g
  • Sausage 60g
  • Onions 100g
  • Water 650cc

Seasonings

  • [A] Consommé 2½ tsp
  • [A] Dashida 1½ tsp
  • [A] Black Pepper 2 shakes
  • [A] Salt to taste
  • Dried Parsley to taste
  • Majisco to taste

Steps

  1. Dice the potatoes, carrots, and onions into small cubes.
  2. Shred the cabbage.
  3. Dice the sausage.
  4. Add 650cc water to a pot.
  5. Add 2½ tsp consommé, 1½ tsp Dashida, and 2 shakes black pepper to the pot. [Pro Tip!] Combine consommé and Dashida to get closer to the flavor of JAL's beef consommé soup.
  6. Add salt to taste to the pot and place it over heat.
  7. Once boiling, add the chopped 100g potatoes, 150g cabbage, 60g carrots, 60g sausage, and 100g onions to the pot.
  8. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the vegetables are tender. [Pro Tip!] Simmering without stir-frying brings out the clear, direct umami of the vegetables.
  9. When the vegetables become translucent and tender enough to be pierced with chopsticks, turn off the heat.
  10. Taste and adjust with salt to taste if needed.
  11. Serve in a bowl and sprinkle with dried parsley to taste.
  12. If desired, add Majisco to taste to enjoy a flavor variation.
