Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2 servings)
- Bell Peppers 5 pieces (150g)
- Mixed Ground Meat 150g
- Potato Starch 1 tsp
Seasonings
- [A] Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 2 tsp
- [A] Soy Sauce 1 tsp
- [A] Sugar 1/2 tsp
- Sesame Oil 2 tsp
- Oyster Sauce 1 tbsp
Steps
- Cut 5 bell peppers (150g) in half lengthwise, remove seeds and stems.
- In a tray, combine 150g mixed ground meat with 2 tsp Cooking Sake (Rice Wine), 1 tsp Soy Sauce, 1 tsp Potato Starch, and 1/2 tsp Sugar. Knead until sticky. [Key Tip!] Kneading in the tray prevents your hands from getting messy.
- Spread the kneaded meat mixture evenly in the tray to about 1cm thickness.
- Heat 2 tsp Sesame Oil in a frying pan. Once hot, flip the tray with the meat mixture onto the pan.
- Arrange the cut bell peppers, cut-side down, in the frying pan.
- Cover with a lid and steam-fry over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- After steaming, flip the meat and steam-fry for another 2 minutes. [Key Tip!] If the bell peppers start to burn, flip them halfway through the steaming.
- Once steam-fried, cut the meat into 6-8 bite-sized pieces.
- Add 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce and stir-fry until everything is well coated.
- Transfer to a plate and serve. Enjoy!
