Ingredients

Main Ingredients (3 servings)

  • Zucchini 200g
  • Beaten Egg
  • All-Purpose Flour

Seasonings

  • Salt 1/3 tsp
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable Oil as needed

Steps

  1. Trim the ends of the zucchini.
  2. Slice the zucchini into 5mm to 8mm thick rounds.
  3. Add 1/3 tsp salt to the sliced zucchini rounds and rub to coat.
  4. Let the zucchini sit for 5 to 10 minutes to release moisture.
  5. Rinse off the salt from the zucchini and thoroughly pat dry with paper towels.
  6. Heat vegetable oil as needed in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Lightly coat the surface of the zucchini with all-purpose flour as needed. (Tip: Coating flour in a food bag makes it easier!)
  8. Dip the flour-coated zucchini into the beaten egg.
  9. Arrange the zucchini in the heated frying pan and cook over medium heat.
  10. Flip when the bottom side is golden brown.
  11. Remove once both sides are golden brown and crispy.
  12. Season the cooked zucchini with salt and pepper to taste.
  13. Serve with ketchup or mayonnaise, if desired.
