Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 servings)

  • Natto 1 pack
  • Silken Tofu 150g
  • Egg 1
  • Potato Starch 1 tbsp
  • Scallions (chopped) to taste

Seasonings

  • [A] Natto sauce packet
  • [A] Natto mustard packet
  • Kore! Uma!! Tsuyu (Japanese all-purpose sauce) 2 tsp
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Soy Sauce to taste
  • Rayu (Chili Oil) to taste

Steps

  1. Place 1 pack of natto, the accompanying sauce, and the accompanying mustard into a bowl.
  2. Mix the natto. 【Pro Tip!】 Mixing the natto before adding moisture enhances its fluffiness.
  3. To the mixed natto, add 150g silken tofu, 1 egg, 1 tbsp potato starch, 2 tsp Kore! Uma!! Tsuyu (Japanese all-purpose sauce), and 1 pinch of salt. Mix well while mashing the tofu.
  4. Heat 2 tsp oil in a frying pan.
  5. Pour the mixed batter into the frying pan and cook over medium heat.
  6. Cover with a lid and cook until the surface sets.
  7. Using the lid, flip it over and cook the other side for about 2 minutes.
  8. Once cooked, transfer to a plate.
  9. Top with scallions to taste and drizzle with soy sauce to taste.
  10. Serve with Rayu (chili oil) to taste, if desired.
