- [A] Dashi Granules 1/2 tsp
Steps
- Peel 150g of yam.
- Place the yam in a plastic bag, seal the top, and mash with a rolling pin or similar. This is the key step! Mashing the yam brings out its sticky texture, which, when combined with the egg, creates a fluffy and gooey consistency.
- Shred 3 imitation crab sticks and add them to the plastic bag. This is the key step! Using imitation crab sticks makes it easy and budget-friendly while still delivering a luxurious flavor.
- Add 1 egg, 1 tbsp mayonnaise, and 1/2 tsp dashi granules to the plastic bag. Close the bag and mix everything by kneading to break up the egg and combine the ingredients.
- Cut off a corner of the plastic bag.
- Squeeze the mashed yam and filling mixture onto a heatproof dish.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
