Ingredients
Main Ingredients (1 serving)
- Rice 200g
- Eggs 2
- Lettuce 1/2 head (approx. 250g)
- Canned Tuna 1 can
Seasonings
- Butter 10g
- MSG(Ajinomoto) 5 shakes
- Salt 2 pinches
- Ketchup to taste
- Mayonnaise to taste
- Consommé Cube 1 (5g)
- Soy Sauce 2 tsp
- Black Pepper to taste
Steps
- For the lettuce soup, add 450cc water to a pot.
- Add 1 can of tuna, including the oil, to the pot.
- Tear 1/2 head of lettuce (approx. 250g) by hand and add it to the pot.
- Add 1 consommé cube (5g) to the pot.
- Add 2 tsp soy sauce and black pepper to taste (optional). Simmer until the lettuce softens to make the lettuce soup. [PRO TIP!] It's a good idea to make the soup ahead of time and set it aside.
- Warm 200g of rice for the omelette rice.
- Crack 2 eggs into a bowl, then add 5 shakes of MSG(Ajinomoto) and 2 pinches of salt.
- Add the warmed 200g of rice to the bowl and mix well until the eggs and rice are combined. [PRO TIP!] Adding the rice before beating the eggs helps everything mix together easily.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt 10g butter.
- Pour all of the egg and rice mixture into the frying pan with the melted butter.
- Reduce the heat to low and carefully cook to firm up the surface, shaping the entire mixture into an omelette rice form.
- Plate the firm omelette rice.
- Drizzle ketchup to taste over the omelette rice, and optionally add mayonnaise to taste.
