- Snap peas with pods (approx. 75-100g shelled)
- Rice (approx. 150g per cup)
Seasonings
- Salt 1 and 1/3 tsp
- Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 1/2 tbsp
Steps
- Shell and wash **150-200g of snap peas**, then drain.
- Add **2 cups of rice** to the inner pot of your rice cooker and rinse.
- Add water to the **2 cups of rice** up to the 2-cup line and soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour. (This soaking step ensures the rice cooks up fluffy.)
- Gently dissolve **1 to 1 and 1/3 tsp of salt** into the soaked rice with your hands.
- Add the washed **snap peas (approx. 75-100g shelled)** and set the rice cooker to cook. (Cooking the peas from the start allows their flavor to infuse the rice for a deeply delicious dish.)
- Cook using the standard rice cooking course.
- Once cooked, gently fluff and mix the rice with a rice paddle.
- Optionally, sprinkle with about **1/2 tbsp of Cooking Sake (Rice Wine)** and mix to serve. Enjoy!
