Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 servings)

  • Rice 2 cups (approx. 300g)
  • Fresh Shiitake Mushrooms 2
  • Carrot 1/5

Seasonings

  • Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
  • Seaweed (Nori) to taste
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse 2 cups of rice and place it in the rice cooker pot.
  2. Add water slightly less than the 2 cup marking for the rice, soak for about 30 minutes to 1 hour until the rice becomes milky white.
  3. Add 2 tbsp soy sauce to the soaked rice.
  4. If the water level is less than the 2 cup marking, add more water to adjust.
  5. Gently mix and dissolve the soy sauce.
  6. Slice 1/5 carrot and 2 fresh shiitake mushrooms.
  7. Place the sliced carrots and shiitake mushrooms into the pot and cook in the rice cooker.
  8. The cooked rice can be arranged into onigiri using seaweed (nori) to taste and salt to taste.
