Low calorie and incredibly satisfying! This is a recipe for a healthy yet authentic Chinese-style Dan Dan noodles made with shirataki and natto. It's filling even without minced meat and is recommended for those on a diet. Perfect for lunch with its easy steps.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Shirataki Noodles 200g
  • Natto 1 pack
  • Milk 100ml
  • Kimchi (optional)
  • Scallions
  • Egg 1 (for hard-boiled egg)

Seasonings

  • Sesame Oil 1 tbsp
  • Grated Garlic 1 tsp
  • Water 80ml
  • Chicken Bouillon Powder 1 tsp
  • Miso Paste 1 tsp
  • Ground Sesame Seeds 1 tbsp
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Cut the drained Shirataki Noodles (200g) into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Place the cut Shirataki Noodles (200g) in a frying pan and dry-fry until the moisture evaporates and they become fluffy. [Key Tip!] To remove the smell of shirataki and achieve a noodle-like texture, ensure you thoroughly evaporate the moisture.
  3. Add the Natto (1 pack) mixed with its included sauce and mustard, Sesame Oil (1 tbsp), and Grated Garlic (1 tsp) to the dry-fried shirataki and stir-fry together.
  4. Once the natto is crumbly after stir-frying, add Milk (100ml), Water (80ml), and Chicken Bouillon Powder (1 tsp). Bring to a boil.
  5. Once the pot is boiling, turn off the heat temporarily and stir in Miso Paste (1 tsp) until dissolved.
  6. Add Ground Sesame Seeds (1 tbsp) and season with Salt and Pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl. Optionally, top with Kimchi in the center, sprinkle with chopped Scallions, and serve with a hard-boiled egg to complete the dish.
