Ingredients
Main Ingredients (1 naan)
- Bread Flour 75g
- Salt 1g
- Sugar 2g
- Instant Yeast 1g
- Lukewarm Water 60g
- Mixed Cheese 60g
- Butter 5g
Seasonings
Steps
- In a heatproof bowl, add Bread Flour 75g and make an indentation on one side.
- In the indentation, add Salt 1g, Sugar 2g, and Instant Yeast 1g.
- Pour Lukewarm Water 60g directly onto the yeast and mix with a spatula.
- Rub the dough against the side of the bowl with the spatula, mixing well until it becomes smooth and no dry flour remains.
- Gather the dough into the center of the bowl and form a ball.
- Cover with plastic wrap, heat in the microwave at 600W for 15 seconds, then let it rest in the turned-off microwave for 30 minutes to ferment. This is the key! Heating in the microwave warms the dough and the microwave cavity, promoting quick fermentation.
- Once the dough has risen to about double its size, gently press it with the spatula to deflate.
- Lightly flour a clean surface (use bread flour).
- Divide the dough into two equal portions and flatten each to fit the size of your sandwich maker.
- On one of the flattened dough pieces, place Mixed Cheese 60g in the center.
- Cover with the other piece of dough, press out any air from the inside, and firmly seal the edges with your fingers.
- Place the assembled naan into the sandwich maker.
- Cook over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes until one side is golden brown.
- Flip and cook the other side for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
- Once both sides are browned, turn off the heat and add Butter 5g. Let it melt from the residual heat and spread evenly over the surface.
- Once the butter is evenly distributed, cut into desired portions and serve on a plate.
