- Milk 150cc
Seasonings
- Water 100cc
- Salt 1 tsp~
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Honey 1 tsp
Steps
- Peel and roughly chop 3-4 onions so they cook evenly.
- Add all the chopped onions to a pot.
- Add 100cc water, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp sugar to the pot.
- Place the pot over medium heat and bring to a boil while stirring.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer slowly for 1 hour. (Key Tip!) Opening the lid and stirring well every 45 minutes ensures even cooking.

- Once boiling, turn off the heat and blend until smooth using an immersion blender.
- Return to medium heat, add 150cc milk, and stir while adjusting the consistency. Be careful of burns.
- Taste and adjust the flavor with 1 tsp honey and 2 pinches of salt. (Key Tip!) Adjust saltiness and sweetness by tasting, as the sweetness of the onions can vary.
- Bring to a full boil, then turn off the heat. Serve in bowls and enjoy. (Key Tip!) Slow-cooking the onions over low heat maximizes their sweetness and creates a deep, restaurant-quality flavor.
