An incredibly easy rusk made with just a microwave, bread, and chocolate! The crispy texture and rich chocolate are irresistible. Perfect for Valentine's Day or a snack, this is a no-cook, fuss-free dessert.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2 servings)
- Bread (8-slice thickness) 2 slices
- Milk Chocolate 30g
- White Chocolate 30g
Seasonings
- Salt a pinch
Steps
- Cut 2 slices of bread (8-slice thickness) into bite-sized cubes.
- Arrange the cut bread in a heatproof dish, making sure they don't overlap.
- Microwave uncovered until the bread is dry and crisp.
- After microwaving, mix the bread, flip them, and reheat to ensure even crisping. (This is the key!) This process removes moisture from the bread, resulting in a perfectly crisp texture.
- After microwaving, taste-test the bread to ensure it's crispy. Repeat the microwaving process until crispy.
- Place 30g of milk chocolate and 30g of white chocolate into separate bags, break them into pieces, and put them into separate heatproof bowls.
- Microwave the milk chocolate until melted.
- Add a pinch of salt to the melted milk chocolate and mix well.
- Add half of the dried bread to the milk chocolate mixture and mix until evenly coated.
- Microwave the white chocolate until melted.
- Mix the melted white chocolate well.
- Add the remaining bread to the white chocolate and mix until evenly coated.
- Spread the milk chocolate rusks and white chocolate rusks onto separate pieces of parchment paper, arranging them without overlap.
- Chill in the refrigerator until set.
- Arrange the set rusks on a plate.
