  • 8g butter

Seasonings

  • 2 tbsp (24g) mayonnaise

  • black pepper (powder) to taste

Steps

  1. Peel the skin off the potato and thoroughly scrape away any green parts, as they may contain toxins.
  2. Cut the peeled 240g potato into appropriate-sized pieces, as they will be mashed anyway.
  3. Place the cut potato in a heatproof container, add 2/3 tsp consommé and 1 tbsp water, cover with plastic wrap or a lid, and microwave at 600W for 6 minutes.
  4. While the microwaved potato is still hot, add 8g butter and coarsely mash with a fork or similar utensil. 【This is the trick!】 By mashing with a fork instead of a masher, you leave some potato texture and can reduce the amount of mayonnaise used.
  5. Let the potato cool down.
