Ryuji, a culinary researcher, presents his surprisingly easy 'Gout Donburi,' a luxurious dish where mentaiko (spicy pollock roe) and soft-scrambled egg intertwine exquisitely. Ready in just 3 minutes, this exquisite rice dish is perfect for a tired body. Give it a try!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Mentaiko (spicy pollock roe) 25g
  • Eggs 2
  • Cooked rice 200g
  • Nori (seaweed) to taste
  • Scallions to taste

Seasonings

  • Salt 1 pinch
  • MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG) 4 dashes
  • Sugar 1 pinch
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce to taste

Steps

  1. Heat and defrost frozen rice at 600W for 3 and a half minutes.
  2. Crack 2 eggs into a bowl, then squeeze the mentaiko (spicy pollock roe) from its skin and add 25g mentaiko.
  3. Add 1 pinch sugar, 4 dashes MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG), and 1 pinch salt to the same bowl.
  4. Mix everything well.
  5. Serve the warmed 200g cooked rice in a bowl, then top with nori to taste.
  6. Add 1 tbsp oil to a frying pan and heat over medium-low heat. Warm until the oil flows smoothly.
  7. Pour the egg mixture into the frying pan and heat while stirring with a rubber spatula, pushing the egg towards the center, to achieve a soft-scrambled consistency. 【Pro Tip!】 Cooking from the edges towards the center helps achieve soft-scrambled eggs easily.
  8. Place the soft-scrambled egg on top of the rice.
  9. Finally, sprinkle with scallions to taste.
  10. Drizzle with soy sauce to taste for an optional flavor variation.
