An amazing recipe that allows you to easily make authentic cheese cream pasta at home, just like at a restaurant, without using fresh cream or flour. This one-pan pasta, made in a single frying pan, is perfect for tired or busy days. The irresistible harmony of rich, melty cheese sauce and pasta makes Ryuji's Void Cheese Pasta a must-try!
Ingredients
Main Ingredients (1 serving)
- 1.6mm Pasta 100g
- Milk 120cc
- Butter 10g
- Pizza Cheese 50g
Seasonings
- Consommé 1 and 1/3 tsp
- Black Pepper to taste
- Salt a pinch
Steps
- Add 280cc water to a frying pan and bring to a boil. [Tip!] This cooking method is ideal for one-pan pasta, as the starch from the pasta thickens the sauce as it boils down.
- Once the water boils, add 1 and 1/3 tsp consommé. [Tip!] You can also use Japanese dashi (such as Hondashi) or chicken stock instead of consommé for a delicious result.
- Add 100g of 1.6mm pasta to the boiling frying pan, twisting it as you put it in, and cook for 5 minutes. [Tip!] A frying pan with a diameter of 20-21cm is suitable for cooking 1 serving. If using a larger frying pan, you will need to increase the amount of water (e.g., when making 2 servings in a 24cm frying pan, multiply water and consommé by 1.6).
- After cooking for 5 minutes, add 120cc milk.
- Add 10g butter and 50g pizza cheese, and simmer over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. [Tip!] Adding butter provides richness and depth, while pizza cheese adds thickness. If you don't have butter, you can substitute with olive oil or margarine, but the taste will be inferior.
- Once the pasta reaches your desired doneness, taste it and add a pinch of salt if necessary.
- Finally, sprinkle with black pepper to taste and serve. [Tip!] Black pepper is essential. Adding hot sauce like Tabasco for a flavor change is also recommended.
