  • Rice 200g
  • Eggs 2

Seasonings

  • [A] Butter 5g
  • [A] Ketchup 3 tbsp

  • [B] Vegetable oil 1 tsp
  • [C] Ketchup 1.5 tbsp
  • [C] Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp
  • Dried parsley for garnish to taste

Steps

  1. Warm the rice.
  2. Crack 2 eggs, mix well. Add 1 tbsp water and salt and pepper to taste, and mix again.
  3. Heat a frying pan and add 5g butter.
  4. Add 3 tbsp ketchup and stir-fry firmly until it becomes a paste. [This is the key!] Stir-frying the ketchup well increases its richness and sweetness, and removes the sourness.
  5. Once the ketchup becomes a paste, add 200g rice and 1/3 tsp consomme, and stir-fry until the flavors are evenly blended.
  6. Serve the ketchup rice onto a plate. Use the same frying pan without washing it.
  7. In the same frying pan, add 1 tsp vegetable oil and 5g butter, and heat well.
  8. Once the pan is hot, adjust the heat to between low and medium, and pour in the beaten egg mixture.
  9. Cook the bottom of the egg, then push it from the back towards the front to make semi-scrambled eggs.
  10. Place the semi-scrambled egg on top of the ketchup rice on the plate.
  11. Make the sauce. Mix 1.5 tbsp ketchup and 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce. [This is the key!] Adding Worcestershire sauce increases the richness and aroma, deepening the flavor.
  12. Pour the sauce over the finished omelet rice.
  13. Sprinkle with dried parsley as desired to complete.
