Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2 servings)
- Daikon Radish 200g
- Bacon 35g
- Cheese 40g
- Potato Starch 2 tbsp
Seasonings
- Salt 1 pinch
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Olive Oil 2 tsp
Steps
- Julienne 200g daikon radish.
- Place the julienned daikon into a bowl, add 1 pinch of salt, and massage it in. [KEY POINT!] Removing the moisture from the daikon ensures it cooks beautifully.
- Julienne 35g bacon.
- After letting it sit for a few minutes, thoroughly squeeze out the moisture from the daikon.
- To the squeezed daikon, add 40g cheese, the cut 35g bacon, 2 tbsp potato starch, and salt and pepper to taste, then mix.
- Heat 2 tsp olive oil in a frying pan, spread the mixed daikon mixture, and cook over medium heat. [KEY POINT!] The cheese will melt and caramelize, and the potato starch will help bind it, so it will cook together nicely.
- Once the edges are browned, flip it over and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Plate the cooked Daikon Yaki.
