Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 servings)

  • Pork (for Tonkatsu) 200g
  • Bell Pepper 1/2 pc
  • Carrot 30g
  • Potato Starch

Seasonings

  • Cook Do® Sweet and Sour Pork Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Oil 3 tbsp

Steps

  1. Remove seeds from the bell pepper and cut 1/2 pc into bite-sized irregular pieces.
  2. Peel the carrot and cut into 1.5mm half-moon slices. The amount is 30g.
  3. Cut the pork (for Tonkatsu) into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the cut pork and rub in 1 tbsp potato starch. 【Tip!】 Rubbing in salt and potato starch creates a film around the meat, trapping the juices.
  5. Lightly coat the pork (which has been coated with 1 tbsp potato starch) with an additional 2 tbsp potato starch. 【Tip!】 The second coating of potato starch expands during cooking and acts as a coating to make the meat tender.
  6. Add 3 tbsp oil to a frying pan and arrange the potato-starch-coated pork before turning on the heat. 【Tip!】 Cooking slowly with a cold start makes the pork tender.
  7. Pan-fry the pork over medium heat.
  8. Do not remove the pan-fried pork</b>; add the bell pepper and carrot directly to the pan and stir-fry.
  9. Once the ingredients are cooked through, add the Cook Do® Sweet and Sour Pork Sauce, coat everything, and heat again.
  10. Once the sauce coats everything, plate it and serve.
