A surprisingly crispy breakfast sandwich recipe made easily with just one slice of bread and a frying pan. Perfect for breakfast or snacks, enjoy two flavors: ham and cheese, and sweet red bean and cheese. Try this pie-like texture!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 sandwiches)

  • Toast Bread (8-slice thickness) 2 slices
  • Cooked Ham 1 slice
  • Sliced Cheese 2 slices
  • Sweet Red Bean Paste (to taste)

Seasonings

  • Butter 20g~
  • Tomato Ketchup (to taste)

Steps

  1. Melt 20g of butter in a frying pan.
  2. Dip both sides of the 2 slices of toast into the melted butter, allowing it to soak in completely.
  3. Press the butter-soaked toast firmly with a spatula and cook until golden brown and crispy. (The key is to press down firmly!) Pressing down with considerable force will result in a crispier texture.
  4. On one side of the cooked toast, layer 1 slice of cooked ham, followed by 2 slices of sliced cheese. Add a small amount of tomato ketchup (to taste) if desired.
  5. Fold the toast in half with the fillings, then press down again and cook until the cheese is melted. (The key is that the cheese will melt and hold the ingredients together!)
  6. Cut the crispy sandwich with a golden-brown crust into portions.
  7. Melt an appropriate amount of butter in a (separate or washed) frying pan.
  8. Dip both sides of 1 slice of toast into the melted butter, allowing it to soak in completely.
  9. Press the butter-soaked toast down very firmly with a spatula and cook until crispy. (The key is to press down with considerable force!) Be especially careful as there is a risk of burns if your fingers touch the edge of the pan.
  10. On one side of the cooked toast, layer sweet red bean paste (to taste), followed by sliced cheese (to taste).
  11. Fold the toast in half with the fillings, press down, and cook until the cheese is melted.
  12. Cut the crispy sandwich with a golden-brown crust into portions.
