Steps
- Peel the skin of the new onions for the hot pot.
- Cut the peeled 400g new onions into bite-sized pieces.
- Cut the 250g pork belly into bite-sized pieces.
- Add the cut new onions, pork belly, and 320cc water to a pot.
- Cover and simmer over medium heat for 30-40 minutes. Pro Tip! If you want to shorten the cooking time, wrap the onions in plastic wrap and microwave for 5 minutes before adding them to the pot to cook faster.
- Once the new onions are tender enough to fall apart, cut them into easy-to-eat pieces with scissors.
