Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2 servings)
- Fried Tofu Pouch 2 sheets
- Green Onion 1 stalk
Seasonings
- Vegetable Oil 1 tbsp
- [A] Mirin (Sweet Rice Wine) 1 tbsp
- [A] Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
- Bonito Flakes (Katsuobushi) 1 pack (5g)
Steps
- Slice 1 stalk of Green Onion diagonally. The secret tip: The green parts can also be used after washing them thoroughly.
- Cut 2 sheets of Fried Tofu Pouch into 1cm wide strips. The secret tip: You can cut them to your preferred size.
- Heat 1 tbsp of Vegetable Oil in a frying pan, add the diagonally sliced Green Onion, and stir-fry until softened, thoroughly browning it. The secret tip: Browning the green onions enhances their aroma and sweetness.
- Push the green onions to one side of the pan, and add the cut Fried Tofu Pouch to the empty space to grill. The secret tip: Cook the green onions and tofu separately to bring out the sweetness of the onions and achieve a light, crispy texture for the tofu.
- Once the green onions are tender and the fried tofu is lightly browned and crispy, mix everything together and stir-fry briefly.
- Turn off the heat, and add 1 tbsp of Mirin (Sweet Rice Wine) and 1 tbsp of Soy Sauce to the hot pan. Quickly toss to coat everything. The secret tip: Adding the seasonings after turning off the heat prevents burning and maximizes the aroma.
- Finish by adding a generous amount of 1 pack (5g) of Bonito Flakes (Katsuobushi) and toss lightly. It's ready!
- Transfer to a serving dish.
