Easy with gyoza wrappers! This crispy asparagus bacon is simply arranged and baked in a frying pan. The exquisite combination of asparagus and bacon creates a fantastic dish perfect as a snack. It's also a recommended budget-friendly and time-saving recipe using minimal ingredients.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients (2 servings)
- 1 bunch Asparagus (100g)
- 2 slices Bacon
- 2 Tomatoes
- 40g Mixed Cheese
- 15-20 Gyoza Wrappers
Seasonings
- 2 tsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Yuzu Kosho
- Mayonnaise (to taste)
- Coarsely Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
Steps
- Trim 1cm from the base of 1 bunch Asparagus, and peel off the tough outer layer with a peeler. Slice diagonally into 3cm pieces.
- Place the cut asparagus in a microwave-safe container, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 1 minute 30 seconds. Drain thoroughly in a colander.
- Prepare 2 slices Bacon, thinly sliced.
- Finely chop 2 mini tomatoes.
- In a bowl, combine the drained asparagus, 2 tsp Olive Oil, 1/2 tsp Yuzu Kosho, and bacon. Mix well.
- Lightly oil a frying pan with Olive Oil. Arrange 15-20 Gyoza Wrappers in a circle about 22cm in diameter, overlapping the edges.
- Spread Mayonnaise (to taste) over the gyoza wrappers. Top with the mixed asparagus and bacon, chopped tomatoes, and 40g Mixed Cheese. Sprinkle with more Mayonnaise (to taste) and Coarsely Ground Black Pepper. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- After cooking, transfer everything onto aluminum foil and bake in a grill or toaster until the surface is browned.
