Easily make tomato pasta using only your microwave and one bowl, with no need for a stove. Minimize dishes, perfect for busy days. The rich tomato flavor coats the pasta for a mellow and satisfying taste.

- Pasta 100g
- Canned Tomatoes 200g
- Bacon 2 slices
- Onion 1/5
- Grated Garlic 1/2 tsp
- Water 200ml
Seasonings
- [A] Ketchup 1/2 tbsp
- [A] Worcestershire Sauce 1 tsp
- [A] Sugar 1/2 tbsp
- [A] Granulated Consommé 1 tsp
- [A] Olive Oil 1 tsp
- Salt (to taste)
- Dried Parsley (to taste)
Steps
- Thinly slice 1/5 onion.
- Cut 2 slices of bacon into 1cm pieces and lightly separate them by hand.
- Place 100g pasta into a heatproof bowl, breaking it in half.
- Add the cut bacon and onion to the bowl.
- Add 200g canned tomatoes, 1/2 tsp grated garlic, 1/2 tbsp ketchup, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp granulated consommé, and 1 tsp olive oil to the bowl.
- Add 200ml water to the bowl.
- Lightly crush the canned tomatoes and stir to ensure the pasta is well submerged. Lightly mix the seasonings as well.
- Cover without sealing and heat in the microwave at 600W for 7 minutes. (Key Tip!) Heat according to the cooking time on the pasta package. For 500W, add an additional 10-20 seconds.
- Remove from microwave and stir well to prevent pasta from sticking.
- Reheat in the microwave at 600W for 3.5 minutes, ensuring the pasta is submerged. (Key Tip!) Aim for half the cooking time indicated on the pasta package for the second heating.
- Remove from microwave, stir well again, and check the pasta's texture.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt as needed.
- If the pasta is still too firm, add a little water if it seems dry and heat for an additional 1-2 minutes. Adjust as needed.
- If there is too much liquid, heat for an additional 1-2 minutes to reduce it.
- Plate the pasta.
- Sprinkle with dried parsley, if desired.
