To celebrate our 1st anniversary, we're sharing an upgraded pizza toast recipe that's easy to make in a frying pan. Enjoy the perfect combination of crispy bread and gooey cheese. Try this enhanced dish with onions and sausages for an even more satisfying experience!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 1 slice Bread (e.g., thick-cut white bread)
  • 1/8 Onion
  • 1 Sausage
  • Pizza cheese (as much as you like)

Seasonings

  • Ketchup (to taste)
  • Coarse Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 5g Butter

Steps

  1. Thinly slice 1/8 onion against the grain.
  2. Diagonally slice 1 sausage.
  3. Cover the bread with pizza cheese (as much as you like).
  4. Evenly distribute the sliced onion and sausage over the pizza cheese.
  5. Drizzle ketchup (to taste) over the toppings.
  6. Place the bread, topping-side down, into a frying pan and cook until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Flip the bread. Add 5g butter to the empty space in the frying pan, and quickly sear the underside while coating it with the melted butter. [Key Tip!] The pan is hot on this side, so be careful not to burn it and cook quickly.
  8. Remove the cooked pizza toast from the pan and cut it into 3 equal pieces for easier eating.
  9. Finish by generously sprinkling coarse black pepper (to taste) as desired.
