These easy donuts are made with just three ingredients: hot cake mix, silken tofu, and milk. No proofing required! Simply mix and fry for fluffy donuts perfect for a snack.

  • Hot cake mix 150g
  • Silken tofu 150g
  • Milk 1.5 tbsp

    Steps

    1. Place 150g of silken tofu in a bowl.
    2. Mash the tofu with a whisk until smooth.
    3. Add 150g of hot cake mix to the mashed tofu.
    4. Mix thoroughly with a rubber spatula until no dry flour remains.
    5. Once the dough comes together, add 1.5 tbsp of milk.
    6. Mix well until the milk is evenly incorporated.
    7. Prepare a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
    8. Transfer the dough into the piping bag.
    9. Pipe 8 donut shapes onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    10. Carefully slide the donut dough, still on the parchment paper, into the hot oil.
    11. After about 1 minute, when a slight fry color appears, flip the donuts.
    12. Remove the donuts once the parchment paper detaches.
    13. Continue frying.
    14. After another minute or so, flip them again.
    15. Fry for a total of about 3 minutes, or until a nice golden brown color is achieved, then remove.
