Ingredients

  • 1 block Firm Tofu (300-400g)
  • 2 tbsp Potato Starch
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Seasonings

  • Pinch of Salt
  • Generous Black Pepper (coarsely ground)

Steps

  1. Place a weight on the firm tofu block to drain excess water.
  2. Cut the drained firm tofu into 2cm cubes.
  3. Place the cut firm tofu into a resealable plastic bag.
  4. Add 2 tbsp Potato Starch to the bag. Gently shake to coat the tofu evenly without breaking it.
  5. Heat 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Arrange the starch-coated tofu in the heated frying pan and fry until golden brown on all sides.
  7. Remove the fried tofu and drain excess oil.
  8. Season the drained tofu with a pinch of salt and generous black pepper.
  9. Gently toss to combine, then arrange on a plate.
