- Chicken breast 300g
- Potato Starch 1 tsp
Seasonings
- [A] Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 1 tbsp
- [A] Mirin (Sweet Rice Wine) 1 tbsp
- [A] Chicken Bouillon Powder 1 tsp
- [A] Salt 1/3 tsp
- [A] Sugar 1 tsp
Steps
- Remove the skin and excess fat from the chicken breast.
- Pierce the chicken breast in several places with a clean fork.
- Place the chicken breast in a resealable bag, add salt 1/3 tsp and sugar 1 tsp, and rub well.
- Add potato starch 1 tsp, cooking sake (rice wine) 1 tbsp, mirin (sweet rice wine) 1 tbsp, and chicken bouillon powder 1 tsp to the bag and rub thoroughly.
- Let it sit for a while to bring the meat to room temperature. (Key Tip! For even better flavor, let it marinate in the refrigerator overnight.)
- Place the marinated chicken breast and seasonings in a heatproof container, and cover loosely with plastic wrap.
- Microwave on 600W for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Remove, flip the chicken, and re-cover.
- Heat the flipped chicken breast for another 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
- After heating, leave it in the microwave for about 15 minutes to finish cooking with residual heat.
- Experiment with various flavors by adding doubanjiang, gochujang, lemon, or pepper, to your liking.
