- Ground Beef 200g
- Bell Peppers 6
- Green Onion (minced) 2 tsp
- Ginger (minced) 2 tsp
- Garlic (minced) 1 tsp

- White Sesame Oil 1 tbsp
- [A] Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 2 tbsp
- [A] Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
- [A] Oyster Sauce 1 tbsp
- [A] Sugar 2 tsp
- [A] Pepper a pinch
- [A] Chicken Stock 4 tbsp
- Salt a pinch
- Pepper a pinch
- Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 1 tbsp
- Soy Sauce a dash
- Sesame Oil 1 tsp
Steps
- Cut 6 bell peppers in half, and remove the core and seeds.
- Heat 1 tbsp White Sesame Oil in a frying pan, and arrange the bell peppers cut-side down. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 1.5 minutes.
- Flip the bell peppers, cover again, and cook over medium heat for another 1.5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine the sauce ingredients: 2 tbsp Cooking Sake (Rice Wine), 2 tbsp Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce, 2 tsp Sugar, a pinch of Pepper, and 4 tbsp Chicken Stock. Mix well.
- Arrange the cooked bell peppers on a plate. (Here's the trick!) Cooking them until slightly charred adds a great aroma.
- In the same frying pan, add 200g ground beef and stir-fry over high heat until the fat starts to render.
- Season the stir-fried ground beef with a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper.
- Add 2 tsp minced green onion, 2 tsp minced ginger, and 1 tsp minced garlic, and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Drizzle in 1 tbsp Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) and a dash of Soy Sauce to enhance the aroma.
- Add the prepared sauce mixture and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Finish by drizzling in 1 tsp Sesame Oil.
- Generously pour the ground beef sauce over the arranged bell peppers to complete the dish.
