Ingredients
Main Ingredients (3-4 servings)
- Canned Corn 200g
- All-Purpose Flour 3 tbsp
- Potato Starch 1 tbsp
- Onion 1/4 pc
Seasonings
- Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
- Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 1 tbsp
- Water 1/2 tbsp
- Aonori (Dried Green Seaweed) 1/2 tsp
- Frying Oil (to taste)
Steps
- In a bowl, add 1 tbsp Mayonnaise and 1/2 tbsp Water. Mix well, thinning the mayonnaise with water.
- Next, add 1 tbsp Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) and mix well.
- Add 1 tbsp Potato Starch and mix well, then add 3 tbsp All-Purpose Flour and mix.
- Cover the batter with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.
- Add 200g Canned Corn to the chilled batter and mix to coat thoroughly.
- Heat frying oil to approximately 170°C (340°F).
- Drop the corn-coated batter into the hot oil using a spoon and fry until crispy.
- Do not touch the fritters until the batter solidifies. Once crispy, remove from oil. (Key Tip!) Do not touch the fritters until the batter solidifies to prevent them from breaking apart.
