Ingredients

Main Ingredients (3-4 servings)

  • Canned Corn 200g
  • All-Purpose Flour 3 tbsp
  • Potato Starch 1 tbsp
  • Onion 1/4 pc

Seasonings

  • Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
  • Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 1 tbsp
  • Water 1/2 tbsp
  • Aonori (Dried Green Seaweed) 1/2 tsp
  • Frying Oil (to taste)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, add 1 tbsp Mayonnaise and 1/2 tbsp Water. Mix well, thinning the mayonnaise with water.
  2. Next, add 1 tbsp Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) and mix well.
  3. Add 1 tbsp Potato Starch and mix well, then add 3 tbsp All-Purpose Flour and mix.
  4. Cover the batter with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.
  5. Add 200g Canned Corn to the chilled batter and mix to coat thoroughly.
  6. Heat frying oil to approximately 170°C (340°F).
  7. Drop the corn-coated batter into the hot oil using a spoon and fry until crispy.
  8. Do not touch the fritters until the batter solidifies. Once crispy, remove from oil. (Key Tip!) Do not touch the fritters until the batter solidifies to prevent them from breaking apart.
