So delicious it will become your daily breakfast, "Toro-Tama Toast" devised by culinary researcher Ryuji. It's easy to make with common ingredients, yet the perfectly runny, golden egg and Japanese mustard mayonnaise blend exquisitely, creating a supreme flavor.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Bread (sliced) 1 slice
  • Egg 1
  • Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
  • Japanese mustard 4cm

Seasonings

  • [A] Kore! Uma!! Tsuyu (Japanese all-purpose sauce) 1/2 tbsp
  • [A] Water 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil 1/2 tbsp

Steps

  1. Toast 1 slice of bread until golden brown.
  2. On the toasted bread, spread 1 tbsp of mayonnaise and 4cm of Japanese mustard, mixing them directly on the bread to coat evenly.
  3. Crack 1 egg into a bowl and beat well.
  4. Add 1/2 tbsp of Kore! Uma!! Tsuyu and 1 tbsp of water to the beaten egg, and mix well. [Chef's Tip!] Adding water makes the egg fluffier.
  5. Heat 1/2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a frying pan over low to medium heat, ensuring it coats the entire surface. [Chef's Tip!] Thoroughly preheating the pan helps achieve a fluffy result.
  6. Pour the egg mixture into the preheated frying pan.
  7. As the egg cooks and sets, use chopsticks or a spatula to gently push the cooked portions towards the center, while spreading the uncooked portions outwards. Continue stirring until the entire mixture becomes a gooey, soft-scrambled egg. [Chef's Tip!] By continuously pushing the set parts inwards and the unset parts outwards, anyone can easily make perfectly gooey scrambled eggs.
  8. Place the finished soft-scrambled egg on top of the bread spread with Japanese mustard mayonnaise. Serve immediately.
