  • Hot cake mix 150g
  • Sweet potato 150g
  • Silken tofu 150g
  • Frying oil (to taste)

    Steps

    1. Peel and roughly chop 150g of sweet potato.
    2. Place the roughly chopped sweet potato in a bowl of water and soak for about 5 minutes to remove bitterness.
    3. After 5 minutes, lightly rinse the sweet potato and drain.
    4. Place the sweet potato in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave on 600W for 4 minutes.
    5. Mash the heated sweet potato.
    6. Add 150g of silken tofu to the mashed sweet potato and mix while also mashing the tofu.
    7. Add 150g of hot cake mix without sifting and mix with a rubber spatula until combined.
    8. Mix until no dry flour remains.
    9. Lightly grease your hands with vegetable oil, shape the dough into balls, and flatten them.
    10. Make a hole about 2cm in diameter in the center of each flattened dough and place them on parchment paper.
    11. Heat frying oil to approximately 170°C (340°F) and carefully add the dough.
    12. Fry undisturbed for about 1 minute.
    13. Flip after 1 minute. If the parchment paper has detached, remove it.
    14. Fry until golden brown on both sides, flipping occasionally to ensure even cooking.
    15. Once golden brown, remove from the oil.
