A healthy garlic chicken recipe that's incredibly easy to make by simply cutting and pan-frying. Marinate and cook chicken breast for a simple dish perfect for everyday meals. The fragrant garlic is appetite-stimulating and a great accompaniment to rice.

- Chicken Breast 300g
- Potato Starch (as needed)
Seasonings
- [A] Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
- [A] Grated Garlic 2 tsp
- [A] Soy Sauce 2 tsp
- [A] Chicken Bouillon Powder 1/2 tsp
- [A] Sugar 1/2 tsp
- [A] Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 1 tsp
- [A] Black Pepper (to taste)
- [A] Vegetable Oil (for cooking)
Steps
- Cut 300g Chicken Breast into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the cut chicken breast into a bowl or a ziplock bag.
- Add 1/2 tsp Sugar and 1 tsp Cooking Sake (Rice Wine), and mix well by massaging.
- Add 1 tbsp Mayonnaise, 2 tsp Grated Garlic, 2 tsp Soy Sauce, and 1/2 tsp Chicken Bouillon Powder. Close the bag and mix thoroughly by massaging. Ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout.
- Remove air, seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
- Coat the marinated chicken evenly with Potato Starch (as needed).
- Lightly oil a frying pan with Vegetable Oil (for cooking) and heat over medium heat for about 30 seconds.
- Arrange the chicken pieces in the pan, cover with a lid, reduce heat to low, and cook for about 3 minutes until lightly browned.
- Once a nice brown color appears, flip the chicken pieces.
- Cover again and cook over low heat for 2 minutes.
- Remove the lid. If the surface is sticky, flip again and cook briefly.
- Finally, turn the chicken pieces over and cook for another 1-2 minutes, ensuring it is cooked through on both sides.
- Sprinkle with Black Pepper (to taste).
