Seasonings

    Steps

    1. Cut one stick of pull-apart cheese into 5 equal pieces.
    2. Stuff the cut pull-apart cheese into the holes of the 5 chikuwa.
    3. In a bowl, combine 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour and 1 tbsp water, and mix well to create a flour slurry.
    4. Place the cheese-stuffed chikuwa on one spring roll wrapper and roll it up once.
    5. Fold in both ends of the spring roll wrapper to match the ends of the chikuwa.
    6. Place one perilla leaf at the seam of the roll.
    7. Brush the flour slurry onto the perilla leaf.
    8. Roll tightly from the front.
    9. Place seam-side down. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
    10. Heat an appropriate amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan and pan-fry the spring rolls.
    11. Fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
